Biography
Dr. Mojgan Parizi-Robinson earned her Ph.D. in Cell Biology and Anatomical Sciences from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She then relocated to Dallas with her family, where she completed two postdoctoral fellowships at UT Southwestern Medical Center. In her first postdoctoral position, her research focused on the role of myosin and myosin light chain kinase in cell contraction and migration. During her second postdoctoral fellowship, Dr. Parizi-Robinson contributed to the development of a genetic diagnostic test for oligodendrogliomas based on 1p/19q loss of heterozygosity. Dr. Parizi-Robinson currently teaches upper-level courses in the Biology Department, including Human Anatomy and Human Physiology.
Research Interests
Dr. Parizi-Robinson is particularly interested in the effectiveness of various pedagogical techniques, the impact of active learning on student success and content mastery, and the role of formative assessments in enhancing student performance and long-term retention in anatomy.
