Biology Student Ambassadors
Biology Student Ambassadors are here to promote the Biology department, support faculty members, and inspire student success!
Who are we?
Biology Student Ambassadors are 7 upperclassmen Biology majors who are nominated by professors and hired by Baylor’s Biology Department to serve the department by assisting in recruiting events and other efforts to reach an ever-growing population of students who declare interest in the Biology major every year. They are dedicated, exceptional sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are interested in supporting the Biology Department by spreading their enthusiasm for Biology and for Baylor.
What do we do?
- Assist in outreach to current Biology majors in order to offer assistance and guidance.
- Use Instagram and other social media sites to advertise internship opportunities, upcoming events, and other useful information.
- Represent the Biology department at recruitment events, such as Premiere, rallies, Know Where You Are Going Day, Invitation to Excellence and Distinguished Scholars Day.
- Host scheduled one-on-one meetings and daily tours of the Biology Department for prospective new students and their families.
- Organize and host events during Welcome Week and throughout the semester.
