Is there tuition remission?

What funding opportunities are available?

All accepted PhD students are eligible for up to five (5) years of funding through Teaching Assistantships, and Research Assistantships are available based upon PI funding.

What is the application fee?

Are there application fee waivers for international students?

Yes - endorsement as a strong candidate by one of our current graduate faculty is required. Please reach out to the Graduate Program Director for more information.

Can I use unofficial transcripts in the application process?

Unofficial transcripts can be used to start the application process, but official transcripts will be required before a decision can be made.

Do I need to secure an advisor before applying?

EEO PhD students apply directly into labs, so it is advised you secure an advisor before applying.
CMHD PhD students apply into the program and rotate between three (3) labs in their first semester before making a final decision. Although you do not need an advisor beforehand, it is recommended you reach out to at least one potential faculty to secure a rotation early on.
All Master's students apply directly into labs, so it is advised you secure an advisor before applying.

Can I apply to the PhD without a Master's Degree?

Yes, however as this is a highly competitive program, a Master's degree does add an edge to your application
