Beta Beta Beta
Who are we?
Beta Beta Beta, or TriBeta, is the Baylor Biology Honor Society, and we are open to all majors that relate to the science of biology. Our goal is to facilitate discussion and support the academic pursuits of our members as they relate to biology. This includes a variety of activities including service, research, hearing from guest speakers, and socializing as an organization while striving to achieve academic excellence in this field. We look to connect our members with opportunities within the Baylor community as well as each other and create a supportive environment as we strive toward a common goal.
Meet Our Officers!
President: Addie Morris
Addie Morris is a sophomore Cellular and Molecular Biology major with a minor in Engineering from Waco, TX. Addie is honored to serve as president of Tri-Beta for the 2025-2026 school year. She currently works in the Olafsen Lab at the BRIC, where she studies the effects of series resistors on nitinol wire actuation and fatigue resistance. In the fall of 2025, Addie joined the Honors Cancer Research Program and is looking forward to collaborating on projects and studies with a group of motivated students. Outside of research, Addie is a Biology Ambassador, an active member of SHAC, and frequently shadows in the surgery department at Ascension Providence Hospital.
Fundraising Chair: Ella Pope
Ella Grace is from Fayetteville, Arkansas, and is in her junior year at Baylor in the honors college. She is a biology major with a cell and molecular concentration and is the fundraising chair for Tri-Beta for the 2025-2026 academic year. Last year, Ella Grace participated in the SEAPHAGES program, working with bacteriophages in Dr. Lawson’s lab. She is also on the academic committee for MSO and a contracting cadet in ROTC.
Service Chair: Paul Arquilla
Paul Arquilla is from Palos Park, IL. He is a Junior Biology major with a concentration in global health with a minor in environmental studies. Paul is part of Dr. Matson’s ecotoxicology lab where he assists in how toxic chemicals affect the genomes of Gulf Killifish. Paul is highly involved with the biology department outside of Tri Beta, serving as one of the Biology Student Ambassadors for the upcoming year. Paul is excited to serve as Tri Beta’s service chair for the upcoming year!
