Go to ForagerOne, select Baylor University from the drop-down menu, and log in with your BearID, then complete your profile by filling out the following sections:
About — Write a brief overview of yourself (150-250 words, 3-5 short paragraphs), including your academic interests, relevant experiences, career or academic goals, and reasons for wanting to do research.
Supplemental Files — Upload a PDF of your resume, transcript, and/or any recommendation letters; you can make these private or publicly available to anyone at Baylor using ForagerOne.
Areas of Interest — List areas of research you are interested in.
Experience — Add any work, internship, or other experiences you have had, describing the skills you developed or utilized and your accomplishments.
Presentations/Competitions/Performances — Add these involvements, including how you placed if appropriate.
Publications — Include any publications you have authored or co-authored.
Awards — Highlight awards you have received, such as scholarships, Dean's list, service awards, leadership awards, etc.
After creating your profile, explore research opportunities and find faculty of interest.
Search for faculty and student profiles to find people of interest and bookmark any projects of interest. As more faculty and students onboard to ForagerOne, you'll start seeing more projects as well as more faculty members who are accepting students.
Connect with a faculty member.
If you find a faculty member or project of interest, you can apply to work with them by submitting an interest statement.
