Biography

Marcie Moehnke earned her PhD and MS at Baylor University where she studied the expression of mountain cedar allergens in plant-viral apoplastic and yeast expression systems.  Joining Baylor’s faculty in 2005, she has taught a variety of Genetics courses.  As a dedicated educator and academic leader, her work is driven by a passion for student success and excellence in teaching.  Through active learning, frequent formative assessment, and student-centered course design, she fosters a collaborative atmosphere where students are encouraged to participate, reflect, and apply their knowledge in meaningful ways. 

In addition to her faculty role, she serves as Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the College of Arts & Sciences, where her work is focused on undergraduate education, enrollment management, curriculum development, academic policies, and student success initiatives.
