Welcome, Dr Karine Gil
Join us in welcoming Dr. Karine Gil as a Lecturer in the Department of Biology, College of Arts & Sciences at Baylor University.
Prior to joining Baylor as Physiology Lab Coordinator, Dr. Gil served as a biology and environmental science instructor for Blinn College; Bryan ISD, INQUIRE ACADEMY; Cy-Fair ISD; Lone Star College-CyFair; and, Texas A&M University, College Station. She has also served an environmental consultant for Ecosystems Advisors, LP; Biodiversity in west Campo Urdaneta Shell of Venezuela Contract No. UW/00953; and The Platte River Whooping Crane Trust.
Dr. Gil earned an undergraduate degree from Universidad Simón Bolívar; a Master in Applied Ecology - Terrestrial Ecology from La Universidad del Zulia, Venezuela; and a Ph.D. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences from Texas A&M University. Her post-doctoral position was with the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, The Beijer International Institute of Environmental Economics in Stockholm, Sweden.
