Welcome, Dr Aaron Wright

Join us in welcoming Dr. Aaron Wright as Baylor University’s first holder of the Schofield Endowed Chair in Biomedical Science housed in the Department of Biology, College of Arts & Sciences. His research focuses on new chemical biology developments that enable function-driven research.
Prior to joining Baylor, Dr. Wright served as the Director of Biological Systems Science Department and Principle Investigator in Chemical Biology at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland, WA.
Dr. Wright earned his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin with Professor Eric Anslyn, and then carried out a postdoctoral fellowship in Chemical Biology with Professor Benjamin Cravatt at The Scripps Research Institute. He earned a B.S., Chemistry at George Fox University.
